Music, and especially drumming, has been my passion since my teenage years when I started a metal band with my friends. Around the same time, my friend's little brother got a drum kit for Christmas. I invited myself over, parked behind the kit, and probably annoyed everyone by drumming quite often. Something about the drums pulled me in, and little by little, playing became a beloved hobby and passion.

Later on, I played over 100 gigs with professional and hobby bands, three studio albums, and several demo-level releases. My background is mostly in rock and metal music, but I would still describe my playing as groove-oriented. Progressive music also strongly entered the picture later on, and some of my favorite bands include Rush, Porcupine Tree, Mastodon, and Gojira. The drummers in these bands are some of my biggest role models, sharing creativity and unique styles.

After many years of doing "real jobs," I decided in 2019 to study at the Palmgren Conservatory in Pori, aiming for a career in music. In 2021, I graduated from the Palmgren Conservatory in Pori with two degrees: as a musician (pop/jazz drums) and as a music technologist. I'm still on that path.

Currently, I'm an active member of Proxima B and a session musician in the band Flesh Roxon. In addition to that I do occasional freelance gigs in various bands and genres.
